Finding Fit: Finding Me

I'm not THAT girl.

The fit one. The athletic one. The chosen one. The one you want on your team.

I never have been and I never will be. I barely passed 6th grade PE because I couldn't finish "running" a mile in under 15 minutes. It took three classes for me to actually finish and pass.

In high school I tried out for the volleyball team and was told that I was welcome to be the water girl.

My idea of exercise is using my obliques to awkwardly turn towards the coffee table to reach the remote since Netflix keeps asking me if I'm STILL WATCHING. Yes, Netflix, I am. Stop judging my life.

But all of a sudden, I'm the girl waking up 2 hours early to work out.

Hold the phone. What is even happening in my life?

Lemme back up a little bit.

About a month ago I stopped whining about my inner thighs to the hubs and decided I needed to DO something about them.

Enter the 21 Day Fix program from Beachbody. I was suuuuuper apprehensive about this program and thought it was just something that claimed to be a quick fix...diet pill...magic bullet...and that the weight would quickly pile back on.

I learned that not only was this program intense and effective, but it was actually just how all of us are supposed to live - protein, fruits/veggies, a little carbs, and a little exercise.

I decided to give it a try and I dropped 10 pounds and 8+ inches. What??!?!?

I'm not gonna lie - the workouts are intense (especially if the only "workout" you've done in the last 6-12 months was opening the door for the pizza guy.)

As if I weren't crazy enough to do the 21DF, I will now begin the 80 Day Obsession on July 16, 2018.

80 Days.

EIGHTY DAYS. Plus Sundays.

That means I will complete the program by October 13th if I don't miss any days.

My goal is to hit 125 lbs by December 1st. I know it won't be easy, but it is possible.

Do I want to wake up at 4:30 AM for the next 13 weeks? Uh no. Do I want to eat 4 cups of spinach a day? Girl, please.

But I'll do it 10 times over if it means reaching my goals!

Here we go...
