Song Feature: Heaven’s Secrets by Wilder | TRBL Music

I can hardly keep up with all of the new music that is being released in this season.

2020 definitely brought the CRAZY, but it’s also given us the gift of worship.

Lyrics for the heaviness we’re carrying.

An anthem to declare in the storm.

A banner to wave as the Lord wages war on our behalf.

Between racial division, a global pandemic, and uncertainty all around, our Father is still on His throne. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His heart is broken for the lost and weary, but He is not shaken.

He is still good.

He’s being blamed for horrific things He didn’t “will” or “cause,” and yet He still loves us with the tenderness of a Father.

I traveled to Portland the weekend before we went into full quarantine mode and the new music began pouring out shortly after.

Some of my favorite new album releases this year in order of release date (Apple Music links included) have been:

I didn’t think I had room in my world for another band, but Wilder changed my mind the second I heard this song (and then their first full album a few days later.)

Stefan Cashwell and Lizzie Morgan’s passion and energy shine through their lyrics and this beautiful offering of worship to the Lord.

Each line of this song is so rich and layered with Scripture.

With each chorus, I heard the confirming voice of my friend, Holy Spirit, reminding me that I’m not just loved. I’m not just forgiven. I’m not just healed. Even more than all of those beautiful gifts, I am God’s child.

This is what Jesus did. He restored my relationship with the Father.

You know what happens when you’re in right-relationship with a good father? You inherit whatever they leave to you.

“As if your love wasn’t enough…”

He could’ve drawn the line at L O V E and that would’ve been enough, but He went even further. The four inch veil tore from top to bottom in the temple the moment Jesus died, and in doing so, He removed any barriers (physical or otherwise) between Heaven and Earth.

The night before He walked towards the cross, Jesus prayed for himself, his best friends, and then for each of us.

Yes, YOU!

He prayed for us to receive the secrets of Heaven - to be united as one body of believers, to become one with the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), to live FULLY alive in Jesus, and for love to be the evidence of a covenant relationship with the Father.

Jesus closed His prayer the night before He died by expressing His deepest desire - that we would experience the fullness of God’s love as we experience more of Him in our lives. That His glory would be revealed in us.

I don’t know the heaviness you’ve walked through in this season, friend, but God does.

If you need to be reminded of the fullness of His love, take a minute to read Jesus’ prayer for you in John 17. Then, listen to this song. I dare you not to dance.

Praying for peace and hope and love to fill your spirit as you read His words for you.

“heaven’s secrets”

You don’t let a tear fall
You collect them all
And you don’t waste our suffering
You’re with us in the rain

This aching heart won’t last forever
I know that all things work together

As if your love wasn’t enough
You promised us
All of heavens secrets
I know that we will see it
There’s nothing you keep from us
All I have to do is trust

You sing to all my sorrow
You turn it into joy
The wind carries your whisper
And I can hear your still small voice saying

I can feel peace coming
I can see fear running
Your love it just does something, sets my feet to dancing

What am I missing? What are you listening to? I want to hear it!

I’m so glad you’re here, friend. I’m not sure how you found this post, but I continue to be amazed by the internets. It brings us together in such beautiful ways and reminds us that we’re more alike than different. More united than divided. Whether you spend a minute or an hour on this page, know that Jesus loves you like crazy. Like CRAZY. I’d love to hear how I can pray for you. Would you let me know here?
